And though they still don't know whether they will play Virginia or North Carolina State - it's probably Virginia, but the ACC won't say for sure until after its league championship game Saturday - they don't really mind, either. I hope it's UVA. I'd like to go to SF but that'd be an expensive trip. I'm praying for Charlotte. 12/1/2005 6:06:37 PM |

Emerald picks last. Boise won't let us slide past them. 12/1/2005 7:50:58 PM |

same here... i'll probably be at any bowl game except Boise.
while I don't mind dropping ~$250-300 to go to SanFran. I have no desire to pay $600-700 for a flight to Boise... 12/1/2005 8:22:32 PM |

I'd just assume play on the Blue Turf to say we have. 12/1/2005 11:00:51 PM |

reason they say UVA or us is becuase of records. Although we are a good choice for Boise, so is Georgia Tech. Because GT is ranked higher than us in the ACC, they are a very likely choice for that bowl. Nashville picks next then San Fran. Most likely leaving Nashville and San Fran to work out the detail of UVA or NCSU.
I am hoping for Nashville 12/2/2005 12:21:28 AM |

Bowls are non NCAA-managed events. Other people run them. You better beleive those running it want the most money coming in as possible. NCSU playing at Charlotte almost makes too much sense. 12/2/2005 1:20:34 AM |

^local teams bring in waaay less money. half the people wont even get a hotel and many wont do anything in charlotte but go to the game. you bring some people in from far away and theyre gonna setup shop. 12/2/2005 1:28:23 AM |

^ Good point on the local thing, but I think Charlotte is far enough away from Raleigh that most people would probably stay for NY Eve anyway. And I doubt the # of people that will end up at Boise. 12/2/2005 3:28:32 PM |

True but not many would be in hotels. We all have friends to crash with. I would be there but my brother's place isn't 5 minutes from the stadium and my parents place is 25 minutes away.12/2/2005 3:42:57 PM |
