I may have missed it but has he actually came out and said why he wants out? He's playing on a good team, making good money, and always looks like he his having fun while playing.

Because boston sucks as a city

the people there care ONLY about the red sox. it is impossible to lead even a somewhat normal life as a baseball player there.

if he'd be willing to play for peanuts, florida would be perfect. huge dominican community, and nobody cares about baseball so he'd be left alone.

^ I don't think Florida wants to take on any salary at this point, considering they've been holding a scrap sale this last month. I also don't think Boston is eager to swallow most of his contract and pay Ramirez to play at Florida.

well the first point was why i said if he'd be willing to pay for peanuts. of course florida isnt going to pay over 10 dollars for any player at this point.
