kentucky stays in the top 15 with 2 losses. gonzaga (2losses) stays ahead of washington who beat them. arizona stays in the top 25 with a 2-3 record and loss to houston while teams like bucknell (unbeaten beat cuse) stay unranked
i could really go on forever but the polls are about nothing but talent and prestige

it doenst really matter because the post season is not dependent on the polls like football. so in the end, who cares? 12/5/2005 6:38:37 PM |

Duke should still be #1, but I was surprised that the number of 1st place votes didn't slip significantly. Anyway, this Saturday with Duke vs. Texas will show who should be #1 next week. UNC should be ranked. NC State, despite the loss, should be ranked. Teams like Bucknell and Houston should be ranked. Gonzaga is ranked that high because they have already beat Michigan State and Maryland while losing two close games (one in OT vs. UConn on a last second shot). Kentucky still got that win against WVA, but yeah, they should drop considering that they have lost 2 home games (Iowa, UNC). I AGREE WITH SOCRATES THAT ARIZONA SHOULDN'T BE RANKED THIS WEEK. A losing record five games or more in should never have a spot in the Top 25. 12/5/2005 7:31:33 PM |

Which is exactly why I laughed at everyone putting Oklahoma in their football top 5 after losing something like thier 13 leading tacklers, 3 offensive linemen, and their Heisman winning QB.
Polls this early are just to sell magazines. I honestly with they'd wait to release the first poll until mid-season12/5/2005 7:56:49 PM |
