the encoder strip( the plastic strip thing) on the printer came out and is hanging from one end. i hooked it back in but when the ink cartridge moves, the thing comes out again. how exactly is it supposed to go in the machine? there is an actual message that says carriage jam. thanks

apparently the strip has to be thread through a slot on the cartridge, but i'm not sure where that is. anyone have any ideas?
