Hey guys, i'm not great w/ computers at ALL... my computer's book says it has "integrated Intel 3D graphics". But I just bought Call of Duty 2 and after installing it and trying to run it, it said something about my video card not being able to do "alpha blending". Anybody know what that's about or what I can do to fix it? If I need a new vid card and/or more memory, could somebody tell me a ballpark of what i can get them for? Thanks!

First we need to know what ports (PCI, AGP or PCI-E) your computer has for the graphics card. Most likely it does have pci ports and possibly agp (which is prefered over pci).

reading directly from the book- "Primary IDE channel: 40-pin connector on PCI local bus", "Secondary IDE channel: 40-pin connector on PCI local bus"

I know that's lame of me but believe it or not, not everybody knows their shit w/ this stuff haha. thanks for bearing w/ my ignorance.

hehe, ide channel = hard drive stuff... i'm sure it has pci slots but you're really wanting to use an agp port if you have one--must faster

Maybe it would help everyone else if you posted what PC you have (brand and model number).

if its the really really cheap dell, you might be in trouble because my ex girlfriend got one of those and it didn't even have an agp slot.

OK, so I found the specs: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim2400/en/sm_en/specs.htm

Looks like it has only 3 PCI slots. I'm not a gamer or big on graphic cards, but I don't think PCI graphic cards are not worth much. I'll let somebody else who knows about this, post their opinions.

My thoughts: Return CoD2. You won't ever be able to run it with a PCI graphics card. I think the most advanced one to come out was like a Voodoo 3 or something.

Sorry man, no soup for you.

You'd rather GIVE it away rather than accept payment for it (however little it is)? That makes no sense.
