If its a C- wall course, the worst they can do is tell you no and the best they can do is make you not have to take the class again. If a D is passing, then accept it and move on. 12/14/2005 1:47:07 PM |

Of course it's wise to try to get any grade bumped up. To me it sounds like you didn't put forth the effort in the class and got a D+ and you probably won't put forth the effort to get the grade bumped up either. 12/15/2005 11:11:34 AM |

what is the definite way to determine if a class is C-Wall or not?
i got a D+ in CSC 316, and even though i'm a CSC major, the degree key doesn't show this class as C-WALL (doesn't have the 0 for max D hours allowed). does this mean that the class isn't C-Wall for sure? 12/15/2005 5:09:21 PM |

I've always assumed that was a definitive source. 12/15/2005 5:11:04 PM |

http://www.csc.ncsu.edu/academics/undergrad/semester.php 7. The GPA earned in all courses attempted at NCSU must be 2.0 or higher to satisfy University graduation requirements. In addition, the College of Engineering requires either a GPA of 2.0 or higher in all courses bearing the CSC designation or a grade of C or higher in each CSC course used to satisfy the requirements in the major.
I would play it safe and work for the C-. It looks worse since it's for your major. You may want to consider changing majors. 12/15/2005 10:29:35 PM |

i think the GPA of 2.0 or higher in all courses is still met. i had a 4.0 before this semester and now will have a 3.2 major GPA 12/16/2005 11:42:26 AM |
