specifically the set point and span pots on MTS 406.11 controllers? Are they rebuildable?

also would a hard drive crash on the targetPC have any affect on its ability to properly output a control signal (data is stored in the RAM). i'm still able to compile and send the simulink program to the target. it runs the program fine.
