This bitch ass nigga dont stand a chance

The NFC has games at 8 on saturday and 1 on sunday. I'm thinking panthers/giants would be a more attractive matchup than a bucs/redskins rematch. So there's a pretty good chance we get the primetime game saturday, which I think most of us would prefer.

Another cause for celebration...

I'm 100 percent sure Bill Maas won't be calling the game

It'll be one of Fox's top 2 crews, the Buck/Aikman team or Stockton/Johnston

its not a pure bracket system

If we win and the bucs win, we go to seattle because, as the one seed, they get the lowest remaining seed after the wild card round. But if both us and the redskins or cowboys win, then we go to chicago as we would be the highest seed left. It's not like other sports where the bracket is set in stone, it resets after each round

Also a small bit of consolation in finishing second to the Bucs:

I'm looking at the schedule rotation for next year, and the NFC south plays the NFC east. But two games are decided by how teams finished the previous year. So Tampa has to play the two first place teams from the west and the north, while we play the second place teams. So Tampa has to play Seattle and the Bears, while we get Minnesota and Arizona/St. Louis. This is a huge advantage for us because the rest of the schedule will be the identical.

man i hope we dont have to play the bears...but i cant wait to play the giants and hopefully shut down tiki as long as we play the same as we did today. HUGE turnaround on the run defense....atlanta averages 170 yds per game and we held them to 26!!!!! thats embarassing

Actually ABC has both of the Saturday games. It will be Michaels-Madden if it is the 8PM game, and Buck-Aikman if it is Sunday at 1.

^ Good point, I forgot all about Abc's wildcard coverage. So lets hope for the last two madden/michaels broadcasts ever, as they have the superbowl as well.

^They do, its just that the Saturday night game is Bucs-Redskins/Cowboys. Im fairly certain CBS and FOX get to pick their game for the weekend first and ABC gets the leftovers, and FOX chose Panthers-Giants.

I hope the Giants can win, but with all the injuries to our linebackers I worry about it. I mean, god, when you figure the game Kerry Collins had against our secondary, you figure Smith and Proehl are going to burn us for plenty.

Hopefully we can ride the Tiki-train to a win again.

after julius jones thoroughly raped us, i think fox has put added emphasis on stopping the run, and as a result held the potent falcons to something like 26 yards. i expect the same strategy to be used against ny, with the front 4 harrassing manning with lucas and gamble taking care of burress and toomer. also, is shockey out for the game? that would be HUGE

yeah....from the article i read today in the charlotte observer they are saying it is pretty doubtful....the are also missing ALL their linebackers so that cant be too good for them.
