to refresh ur memories: http://www.engr.ncsu.edu/students/hss/HSS046.pdf

thanks, need all the input i can get asap since my schedule got fucked.

Oh...

Damn, well, I was going to recommend ENG221 with Kellner, but if you need a history, I can't help you (I took AP US and got credit for my history requirement, and don't plan on taking another history). Still, if you'd like another english class, that's the one to go with.

I took Modern Middle East (HI 270?) for that requirement. It was a decent class.

dont need to take foreign language cause i filled the proficiency from high school. have no idea what group it needs to be, just has to be 1 of the "non-english speaking culture" courses listed on that link i posted above; history or lit since i have that to finish too. non-english is only a co-req so it'll satisfy both if i take a history or lit

well, look in your degree audit, and see if it's 202 or 203 :-P

no point in taking the risk that the history you sign up for only fills the slot in, say, 203, and you need 202 filled still

i know a lot are cross-listed, but enough aren't that i always double-check

just goin by what my advisor said since i emailed her and asked her about it. in my degree audit it doesnt say anythin cause currently all my english and history slots are filled except the other lit requirement i need for ENG111z. so the 1 lit i have done will replace that 111z requirement so that leaves the lit from H&SS open. therefore, i can take a lit or history to complete that and if i do the non-english speaking culture lit or history it will satisfy that too so then i'll be completely done.

111z was the transition lit class back in 2002-2003 for incoming freshman. previous to that, there was a 111 and 112 that was required to be taken. hwoever, they wanted to do away with that and so, with my luck, they instituted the transition class 111z which most people thought replaced both 111 and 112 but in actuality did not since it was only a 3 credit course. so that left 3 extra credits that needed to be met.

He knows what he is talking about. doing fine so far. He's trying to kill two birds with one stone: his non english speaking culture requirement and a humanities elective: English Lit or History.

So, therefore, he needs an English Lit or HI that is other cultures based. (If you want my help, please PM your full name so I can look up your degree audit and make sure I am helping you pick exactly what you need). I could ball park it here, but don't want to take a chance on misguiding you.

Any particular type of history you enjoy? I took HI207 Distance Education and enjoyed the heck out of it.

I took history of Latin America..

It is a online course taught by Dr. Slatta.....

IT was informative and interesting and not hard....

2 weekly assignments (a paragraph post on a message bored)
3 papers (when the paper was due no weekly assignments that week)

Very fair.....Put in any effort and you will get an A.
