Good movie are coming out all the time. I saw King Kong and it was probably the most original movie i have seen in a long time. And Hostel is coming out soon. You cant say that isnt going to be a good movie. 1/5/2006 1:30:39 AM |

It's the fault of the movie studios. Instead of making good movies that will cater to certain niches, they try to make movies that make lots of money (by basically catering to the least common denominator) that turn out crappy. You could always go to indie films, but being excessively low budget can sometimes hamper them. 1/5/2006 1:44:43 AM |

Indie films arent good because they dont have cool special effects and famous people in them. 1/5/2006 1:46:13 AM |

They need a backpedal emoticon... oh, wait...
Over the past three or four years I'm at an average of going to see about one movie per year. I don't see anything on the horizon that would get me to go to a theater either. Why go to a theater when it costs $16+ (for 2) when you could just buy the DVD for $15 when it comes out or $10 a year or so after the DVD comes out?

studios realize more money is coming through DVD sales now
but yes I saw two movies in the theater last year- StarWars and Batman.
nothing on the horizon looks worth it.
