i always thought it was understood adobe preimere was the best, but i dont know much about stuff like that

Adobe Premiere Pro is my pick. Great file handling capabilities, fairly comprehensive set of features and good interaction with After Effects, Photoshop, and Encore.

I used it to put together a 25 short movie, and was really pleased with it. Be sure you have system specs for it though. If you want sharp looking text animations, then I recommend the latest After Effects. The text animation is leaps ahead of Premiere Pro.

Final Cut Pro is the best, but I'm guessing you're not on an Apple
