It's great to finally pay $$ for a movie or dvd, and watch movies that really make you think about how fucked up Americans(and yes Im including myself when I say this)..use to view things...

The movie Crash..showed me that I do have some biases adn stereotypes against people that I didn't even realized I still had....kick ass movie!

Brokeback Mountain..showed me that if two people are really into each otehr and care about one another...no one has the right to tell them who they should or should not date, sleep with or settle down with...b/c if this were the case there would be alot more non-traditional couples here in the states and I applaud Heath Ledger and Jake Gillenhal for making such a KICK ASS MOVIE!

i grew up in rural NC with a family that is just as prejudiced as anyone else...

where do you think i got that whole "grandfather" part of my last post, except that in my case it was my uncle and aunt who took care of me every day after school K-6...

and it didn't take me watching a movie or hearing a sad anecdote from a friend to realize that their prejudices were fucking stupid...
