When you say "online", do you mean web-based (http://www.ncsu.edu/registrar/courses/websprg.html) or distance education (http://distance.ncsu.edu)? 1/12/2006 7:17:48 PM |

dropping a distance ed class is the same as dropping a campus course.
if you are taking undergraduate courses the drop deadline is Feb 20, for grad courses March 17.
if you want to drop after those dates, you will need a schedule revision form signed by your dean.
if you are not a degree-seeking student (PBS, UGS) you have the same deadlines but would contact Credit Programs and Summer Sessions if the dates have past. 1/13/2006 9:13:37 AM |

so there aren't crazy fees or other exceptions for dropping a distance ed class? thanks 1/13/2006 10:42:43 AM |

the last day to get any type of refund or reduction in tution is Jan 23rd. if you drop after that date you will not get any type or refund or reduction (unless you drop all of your classes ie: withdraw).
i just spoke with DE to ensure there were no other special fees or exceptions to the university rules.
the only thing different about DE is the amount of tuition paid. 1/13/2006 12:24:26 PM |
