The Guilford County Wolfpack Club is having a membership drive breakfast on Thursday Feburary 16th at Starmount Country Club in Greensboro. Philip Rivers will be coming to be the guest speaker. Each of the attendee's will recieve an autographed picture of Philip and get the opportunity to meet him.
This is a great opportunity for those of you that are graduating in May or have recently graduated to join the Wolfpack Club and get something more out of your initial donation other then stickers and a liscence plate. It will be also a good opportunity to mingle and network with other NCSU alumni in the Greensboro area. If you are looking to purchase Lifetime rights for football or try to buy football tickets for next year the pledge that you make at this event will be in time for the March deadline for giving.
The event is by invitation only. We are asking that everyone that does attend be ready to pledge to join the Wolfpack Club at the minimum 120 dollar giving level or if you are already a member to step up your giving level by 120 dollars. Last year we had a great turnout to hear Torry and Terrance Holt speak and like last year the amounts of seats is very limited to give everyone that attends the opportunity to speak with Philip personally.
If you are interested please PM or email me your address and phone number to remarshall@gmail.com
This is not a commitment to attend but I will call you a couple weeks before the event to confirm you attending.
Please if you have any more questions please don't hesitate to PM or email me. 1/12/2006 8:06:34 PM |

Stingray is right....If you contact me and send me your info I will send you an invitation.
You aren't giving me 120 dollars, you are making a pledge to join the wolfpack club and rather then just getting stickers, liscence plate, and the opportunity to get better tickets you are getting all those and you get to have breakfast with Philip Rivers. 1/13/2006 7:06:10 AM |

im slowly but steadily becoming a big boy
and there's a lot more than $120 that i'd like to give
but you gotta beat Carolina
maybe i am, but maybe im not the only one that feels that way
maybe you can communicate that to some of your folks 1/13/2006 9:44:51 AM |

If you don't think the Wolfpack club is a worthy cause, that's fine, but you shouldn't hold to the "if we dont win X games or beat X team I am not joining or upping my pledge." If that were the case, why should Wake Forest even have a booster club? No final fours in 35 years, no good bowls ( top 3 seeds from ACC) since I can remember, and I don't think they've made a whole lot of noise on the baseball front, if I can remember? Same with UVA. 1/13/2006 1:42:27 PM |

why not? it's his damn prerogative. also, i bet if wake were winning national championships, their boosters would probably get more money. 1/13/2006 1:46:50 PM |

^ That's my point. Wake's booster club does very well, probobly better than ours, with 1/5 the fanbase. I wasn't saying their booster club doesn't give, quite the opposite, they are in fine shape with significantly less personell. I also am fully aware it's each person's decison to decide where their money goes, but that I don't think it's the right thing to do to base your pledge on one sport, and especially beating one team in that one sport. If a potential doner don't think the athletic department is successful enough for your pedge, then that's fine. 1/13/2006 1:59:54 PM |

so you have to either be a graduate or graduating this coming May?
I'm interning this semester and graduating in December, and I do plan on being in the Wolfpack Club after I get out. Does that mean that I have to wait until next year to take part in this sorta thing? 1/13/2006 2:05:12 PM |

its not "X team"
its Carolina
yes, i'm of that genre of fans
and if i'm giving them money, thats my best way of communicating that its important to me1/13/2006 2:15:15 PM |

^ agreed. Its one thing to lose to carolina when they have better talent and a better team year in year out.... but when you should beat them like the red headed step child they are every year and you manage to lose, it pisses me off. 1/13/2006 2:22:26 PM |

why don't you just hit up rivers for some money...he sure as hell isn't earning any of that 20 mil sitting on the bench...i'm sure he'd love to contribute to his alma mater that only manages 3 acc wins 1/13/2006 3:01:02 PM |

No...you can join this year if you want. You can be a student and join but we would like you to join the full Wolfpack Club.
It isn't about sending a message to the Wolfpack Club. You should join or not join if you want to support your university. I would like to think that we are better then those people over at Carolina because we show up if we have a good team or a bad team and we support our University. The Ram's Club hasn't met their scholarship obligation in the last 5 years so regular student's tuition has gone up to cover it.1/13/2006 5:54:25 PM |

quite wrong. wake's giving levels dont even come close to ours. the "goalline drive" fund to raise money for the carter-finley improvements ranks as one of the highest in the country.1/13/2006 6:22:21 PM |

^^ that's because they get a whole lot more money then state. their fans support the teams in the good times and the bad. i know my parents both give as much as they can to a&m no matter how the team is doing. 1/14/2006 6:09:52 PM |

When you join the Wolfpack club it isn't about just improving stadiums. It is also about paying for the scholarships that the athletes get so that regular students don't have to pick up the tab. 1/15/2006 11:29:01 AM |
