yeah he alters and blocks some shots, but in every big game i can think of where he faces a similarly skilled big man, he gets his lunch eaten. sean may, killingsworth, simmons, etc. all had their way with him. 1/18/2006 9:35:53 PM |

^^because this is the first time simmons has stepped up
I don't think anyone (except duke fans) was betting on Duke going far in the tournament against a team with a good, athletic front court.

i'm fairly sure you would be wrong. november 30, dook vs. indiana, killingsworth was 15-20 for 34 points and 10 rebounds1/18/2006 9:41:22 PM |

Simmons had career-high 28 points, nine rebounds, seven blocks and three steals but I bet it will be overshadowed by Williams' accomplishment to become the all time shot block leader at Dook from the 3 he had in the game.

^^ no I think you have that backwards. I had no idea Williams had that many blocks and didnt even see anyone say anything about it--check the post game report on espn.
"Williams, while overshadowed a bit by Simmons, added nine rebounds, three blocks and five steals for Duke, barely missing his third consecutive double-double. Redick was his usual self, making four 3-pointers and converting all 10 free throws to move into 11th on the ACC career scoring list."
