""It's kinda suspicious because of its close proximity to the game, but he doesn't know if it was related to his duties as a referee, his job as a high school principal or if it was a random act of mischief," Stockton police Lt. Thomas Wells told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review on Wednesday.

^ I swear I've heard/read that most of the refs are lawyers or judges. Is that true?

$1600 a game + ($100 x # of years of service) for regular and preseason games, all guaranteed 20 games

$11,000 a playoff game (If an official doesn't get a playoff game they get the probowl, 4 days in Hawaii + $3,000 for the game)

$25,000 for the superbowl

Once they retire they get $150 x # of years of service per month

But that was before the ref strike, I don't have a clue what they get now

This is hardly surprising. This is from the same team fans that vandalized Tommy Maddoxs' house
