Has anyone taken this class? If so, how are the tests and how would you recommend studying for them? It seems that there are a lot of words to be tested on for one test. Thanks!

i'm in it now, my gf had it last semester and basically said "don't worry about it". I've studied lesson one so far, but need to study the other two lessons and take the test soon.

^ Yeah, I am taking it this semester as well and was planning on taking the first test on Thursday and just wanted a little input on how to study and how the tests were.

it was sooo easy, i didnt do any lessons and got and A easy. the only thing was i think u had to do the lesons to get the words on the top half of the test (you;ll know once u see the first test).. but yeah a definite low-stress class

if u want a 100 do the lessons and then do the evens or odds(forgot which it was) on the review ones... if ur good with an A, just look up the review words and divide them up into the diff parts of the word like they do in the lil dictionary... ull see a pattern develop and catch on... the most important part is defining the words at the bottom of the test anyways

His syllabus said that Exercise 1 is MC, Exercise 2 is Fill in the blank...So what about the drills? I'm assuming those are the breakups and define?

yeah... the MC and fill in the blank terms sometimes arent that bad, but some words u just wont know unless u do the lessons... the last part is 15 words that u break up and define and u must actually seperate them into ALL their pars with bars and what not and define it literally or by actual definition. that last part is worth the majority of the points

I am taking the class just for credit only. Do you think I will do fine on the test if I just study the even numbered words on the Drill and Review and the Practice Quizzes?

I wanted to take this class and the GRK class on ancient tragedy & comedy, but there wasn't time in 4 years to get a degree and take all the classes I wanted.
