People, that's OBVIOUSLY not the new Altima. Does it look like a mid/large size car? That's the new Sentra.
And yeah, the only spy pics are that of the BMW, Audi, Audi, and Porsche. Most others are official pictures, and a couple of artist sketches.
The LS 460 has been uglified at the rear. As already mentioned, it has been "Bangled".
Lamborghini SUV
Quote : | "Lamborghini commits to SUV; may still build Miura…
An SUV is the priority at Lamborghini, according to a report in the latest issue of AutoExpress. “There is more need for an SUV, and parent firm Audi produces the Q7, so for me, this is a better option than a 2+2,” said Lambo president Stephan Winklemann. “I would like to do more, but we are a small company and can’t build all the models we want at once.” Winklemann also spoke about the Lamborghini Miura Concept his company unveiled earlier this month. Contrary to recent published reports indicating the Miura would not be built, Winklemann said a small production run now seems likely, due to strong demand from customers for the retro supercar. AutoExpress says the Miura will be on display again at the Geneva Motor Show, alongside the Gallardo Spyder and possibly an updated Murciélago. " |

2007 Volvo S80
Quote : | "Personal Car Communicator (PCC): The new S80 includes an optional key fob offering ‘keyless drive’ and incorporating a world first innovation – the Personal Car Communicator (PCC) which features intelligent technology to remotely check if the car is locked or not, alert you if the alarm has been activated, and a heartbeat sensor which warns if there is anyone in the car.
Collision Warning and Brake Support: The Collision Warning system alerts the driver, via a ‘heads-up’ warning display on the windscreen plus audible buzzer, if the gap to the car in front closes so fast that a collision is likely, while the Brake Support system boosts the braking force to ensure braking is as effective as possible.
The new active Bi-Xenon headlights improve the driver’s visibility at night by turning the beam of the headlights in the direction the steering wheel is being turned." |
BMW sues Infiniti over "M" campaign
Quote : | "BMW is suing Nissan in Canada over the Japanese automaker's use of the letter "M" in a recent advertising campaign for its Infiniti brand. BMW, which has long used the "M" badge for its high-performance models, doesn't seem to mind Infiniti's use of the M35 and M35 nameplates, but does take issue with the new campaign. Nissan uses the phrase, "the M is coming," featuring a giant 'M' and small Nissan logo in the ads. The court denied a request by BMW for an immediate inunction restraining Nissan from using the M trade-mark. However, the court did approve a request for an an expedited hearing of the proceedings. BMW "firmly believes that the cachet of the "M" sub brand will suffer if it becomes associated with the allegedly inferior and more modestly priced Infinitis," according to a court document. On Friday, we reported that Honda was suing Ford over the Lincoln MKX name, alleging it was too similar to the Acura brand's MDX. Last year, Infiniti sued Audi over the Q-series name, but latter dropped the suit. " |
Mercedes toys with 510hp C63 AMG
Quote : | "Mercedes' AMG unit is continuing to have fun with its new 6.3-liter V8, this time dropping the 510 horsepower, 465lb-ft behemoth in a 2006 C-Class, according to Autocar. The report says the RS4 killer will not make it into mass production, but will rather be made for a handful or "preferred customers." Recent rumors suggest, however, that virtually all next-generaiton Mercedes models will eventually offer the 6.3 liter engine above AMG's 5.5 liter V8. And while no promises have been made about a production C63 when the next-generation C-Class goes on sale in 2007, stranger things have happened — take the R63 AMG, for example. " |

Duesenberg Torpedo Coupe
$300,000 Supercharged 12-cyl 300 hp 70 mpg
Quote : | "January 2007 will mark the return of the legendary Duesenberg brand in the United States, with the launch of a new four-seater called the Torpedo Coupe. The company says the automobile will be built around "revolutionary new power plant" known as the CEM. The engine is air-cooled and self lubricating, forced-air inducted (supercharged), 12 cylinder, double ended, ported, multi-fueled, four-stroke engine with a calculated 70 MPG and 300 horsepower from an economical 100 pound package measuring 18 inches in diameter and 24 inches in length. Duesenberg last made cars in 1937. At the time, its vehicles were among the fastest on the road. The Leftlane Perspective: If Duesenberg can return from a 70 year hiatus and build one of the most revolutionary cars on the road, it will be a proud day for America's auto industry." |

[This is a mod of the Japanese-market Civic (also sold in ME), which in my opinion looks a lot better than the NA-market civic.]
Quote : | "Civic Hybrid Modulo
For the exterior, the Civic’s low center-of-gravity form is enhanced with a louvered intake with variable alignment in response to vehicle speed, a trunk lid spoiler, and a diffuser, which supplement the vehicle’s flat bottom to achieve outstanding aerodynamic performance. Aerodynamic wheel covers for the 19-inch aluminum wheels add to the Civic Hybrid’s driving performance and fuel economy. Advanced technologies include a combined information display for NAVI, audio and air conditioning, touch-panel controls, a connection pocket for external devices, and side mirror cameras." |
Quote : | "Airwave Modulo
To respond to the needs of mature adults who are "looking for quality in a compact car," the Airwave Modulo concept vehicle offers both form and function, with such features as high-quality LED headlights and rear combination lights, and welcome lights built into the side panels. Moreover, the interior is replete with genuine leather seats, luggage compartment flooring, and more, to create an interior feel that goes beyond the ordinary. Wood-grain, high-luster interior paneling and high-quality speaker housings complete the premium concept package." |
Quote : | "Step Wagon Modulo
The exterior features omni-directional camera-and-sensor protection in the front and rear bumpers and side panels, built-in welcome lights, and other advanced functions added on to the original Step Wagon base. To clearly express a new sense of value in the interior, Honda collaborated with the Final Form apparel brand to equip the vehicle with fashionable seat covers that can be detached and worn as outerwear. It also features a NAVI-, audio-, video-, and game-compatible ‘go-anywhere’ entertainment system for use inside or outside the vehicle, a multi-display room mirror that switches over to display images from an external camera, and front-seat flooring with matching skeleton-motif interior panels." |

2007 Lexus GS 450h
The world's first hybrid luxury sedan
340 hp and 30 mpg!!!
Quote : | "The high-performance model of the GS range, the Lexus GS 450h is the world’s first hybrid luxury sedan, and the first full hybrid vehicle to combine front engine mounting with the rear wheel drive essential to sport driving dynamics.
On sale throughout Europe from early summer 2006, the GS 450h features a 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine coupled to a high-output, permanent magnet electric motor. Combined power output is in excess of 250 kW/340 DIN hp
accelerating the new GS 450h seamlessly from 0-100kph in less than 6.0 seconds.
The new powertrain equips the GS 450h with performance characteristics equivalent to conventional 4.5 litre V8 engined models with fuel consumption on a par with that of a 4-cylinder 2.0 litre engined vehicle.
Proving to be substantially more frugal than comparable sports sedans, the GS 450h is returning 7.9l/100km in the combined cycle; moreover, the new Lexus returns CO2 emissions of just 186g/km, markedly less than rival, premium sector sedans with similar engine power." |

Could the 2008 Lexus BS look like this?
Quote : | "In December, we cited an Automobilwoche report suggesting Lexus planned to build a competitor to the BMW 1-Series called the "Lexus BS." With certain variants of the 1-Series expected to come to the United States, it's no surprise Lexus wants a piece of the pie. For an idea of how the car might look, check out this particularly good computer rendering by Tim de Graag. The image shows how the four-door hatch could look. It's unclear if Lexus plans to follow BMW's lead and build coupe and cabriolet version of the compact car. For U.S. market acceptance, a coupe and convertible would likely be necessary. " |
