fixing tv's costs an assload, especially if it is one of the main components. might as well get a new one i bet.
[Edited on February 1, 2006 at 5:43 PM. Reason : especially factoring in labor....tv's werent overly designed to be fixable like comps/cars/etc] 2/1/2006 5:42:59 PM |

Yeah I've pretty much written my tv off and gotten a new one. Lightning struck fairly close to my house and my TV turned off, hasnt turned on since. Let me know if you know if this can be fixed for relatively cheap (doubt it though) 2/1/2006 6:03:29 PM |

Define broken. If it cracked in half or something, its probably a lost cause. If it seems that something may have gotten loose when it fell, kicking it or dropping it again is typically a good start for troubleshooting. 2/1/2006 7:11:29 PM |

^It'll cost more money to take it and get it fixed than buy a new one. And if you let some EE student look at it...they're just gonna take it apart and play with it. 2/2/2006 6:12:20 PM |

Look in the classifieds or on craigslist for a cheap used one. chances are its not worth fixing. especially if its already old/shitty. if u still want to try to get it fixed you can take it to best buy and they will diagnose it for $35 and give you a quote.2/3/2006 3:31:32 PM |
