Does anyone know where someone can learn to play to piano at? Lessons? Books? Lesson online?

No lessons in Raleigh... I have heard of people learning on there own and was wondering if anyone knows what books are good or what would be the best idea?

You could probably get the book for MUS 101 and attempt to teach yourself the basics.

There's a piano shop next to Crabtree Valley Mall. Maybe they offer lessons. I can't remember the name of it but it's on Glenwood Ave. With that info + Google you can find it.

I appreciate the help. Don't want to take the class... Done with school and got the dream job...just always wanted to learn how.... Does anyone know the book for that class, like the name of it so I can look it up online and possibly order it?

If you just want to have some fun, learn to play a few chords.
http://www.looknohands.com/chordhouse/piano/
To play a major chord, let your thumb fall on the note(A for an A chord) and let your middle and ring fingers fall naturally. To make that chord minor, drop your middle finger down one key.

Then use guitar chords and you can screw around with most any rock song. You can bang out the chords or roll your fingers to create a sort of strumming sound. With a little practice with the sustain pedal you can sound about as good as the guys at Rum Runners to the casual listener, even though you don't really know shit. Possession by Sarah maclauglakdjflalin is an easy example, or ben folds.
