I used to be a bagger for Lowes.

They want you to double bag certain items to avoid the shitstorm customers start up whenever there's a bag failure that results in spilled groceries.

That makes sense, but the last two times I've went they were double bagging *everything*. That just doesn't make sense to me. In addition, it's like they weren't even trying to be efficient with the bags, underfilling bags and just using another one (or two, since they were double bagging).

If that really annoys you, then buy your own canvas grocery bags and take them with you to the store.
