that doesn't make sense because it would actually be a smart move.

Why would he bother spending a year in Boone when he could be drafted?

its probably a safety net in case he isnt drafted

if he goes there i wouldnt be surprised if they beat us next year, they're already the i-aa champs w/out him

try and pretend he has changed his ways, another year of experience. I could move him up at least one round. Clearly they would win the D 1aa championship so it wouldnt be all bad for him

he doesn't need more experience, esp. against weaker competition.

this rumor is almost as stupid as Vick himself.

he's not going to be drafted high if at all.

a year at app would give him at least a chance to raise his stock and show he's serious. But I'm pretty sure he's declared and will be at the combines. http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/9206978

He'd be better off pulling a Randel El and trying to be drafted as an athlete

Ok, so they get M. Vick, they still lost their DEs and did you see this team play Defense?? After watching the Furman vs. App game it was apparent that neither team could hang with even Duke.

On another note, EKU whooped App's ass last year, and look what we did to EKU.... I mean they punted on 3rd down for FUCKSAKES!

kthx

entering the draft ends his college eligibility

if he goes undrafted his only option is free agency

yeah but we lost all our talent as well. they will be motivated and we won't, and it's our first game. i don't think we will lose, i'm just saying it wouldn't surprise me if we did.

Are the rules like the NBA/NCAA where you can declare but not hire an agent?

It's the first game, we are always ready for the first game, no matter who it is. It's the 2nd and 3rd game that we don't come out ready for. But this is probaly due to the fact that we blow out shitty competition i.e. Western, EKU, Richmond....

3rd game last year against UNC, i'd say we came out very half ass. The crowd was hyped as fuck that day though.

in football entering the draft ends your eligibility

he has no reason to go to ASU, if he doesn't get drafted he'll just chill at his brother's mansion.

I have a feeling he wants to play football. He needs to polish the tarnish off his reputation, and it's going to take more than just one college season.... I would like to see App do well next year, but having M. Vick may be more of a liability than an asset. Again, I was just reporting what I heard. I have seen no corroboration as of yet.

^^You are correct. Only if he signs with an agent is his eligibility expired. Also if he remains in the draft past a cut-off date, his eligibility expires.

read the rules if you like. the only exception is the NBA draft.

Quote :
"Draft List. An individual loses amateur status in a particular sport when the individual asks to be placed on the draft list or supplemental draft list of a professional league in that sport, even though:

The individual asks that his or her name be withdrawn from the draft list before the actual draft;

The individual's name remains on the list but he or she is not drafted; or

The individual is drafted but does not sign an agreement with any professional athletics team.
