The fact remains that he isn't listing duke. And look at the schools on the list. Notre Dame will not offer him. They are set at quarterback. Everywhere else he has on the list offered, but at the same time he'll more than likely come south and will come to either UNC or State and I don't see him going to Duke's "Rival." So that means state.

4 Star. With his senior season still to come, it will probably rise.

yes there is a lot of talent in state this year. But if we weren't interested in him, we wouldn't have offered.

it's no wonder why he didn't list duke. Seriously, if you're a star football player, why on earth would you want to play for duke?

stranger things have happened. And you would assume that since his brother goes there Duke would be able to use the brother.

the strangest thing about it to me is how Greg is like 5'11" 170 at most and Mike is 6'5" 200plus already.

We've offered a ton of guys already. This guy just stands out since we actually know who he is and virtually the rest of the 2007 class is still unheard of.

If Greg Paulus is a good brother, he would tell his brother to not go to duke to play on the football team.

Not sure where you're hearing that he isn't interested in Duke. Mike is one of Duke's top QB prospects. Mike and his family have visited with Roof and the Duke staff a number of times. I realize Duke is not listed on his Scout profile, but trust me, there's plenty of interest from both parties in the other.

It will be a moot point if Notre Dame offers, however. The Paulus' love Notre Dame. There's a rumor going around that Jimmy Clausen, the top QB prospect in the '07 class and arguably the best QB prospect in years, recently commited to Notre Dame. If that's the case, I don't believe they'll offer Mike. A recent article from Scout:

Quote :
"The Blue Devils are now hoping to land another talented member of the family, this time Greg's younger brother Mike Paulus, as they were the first to offer the talented young man a scholarship - this time for football."

Quote :
"However, Michigan and Duke will need to stand in line behind the Fighting Irish. "Notre Dame was my favorite school growing up," he said. "I visited there over the summer and met with Coach (Charlie) Weis. He told me they were going to make sure they did my recruitment right, because they lost my brother.""

Another article from Scout:

Quote :
"Among the offering schools are Arizona State, Duke, Miami of Ohio, NC State, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Virginia, Wake Forest, Wisconsin, and the latest Michigan which offered last week.

Paulus plans to take an unofficial visit to each offering school, plus Notre Dame, this spring and potentially make an early decision before the season begins."
