Overview:
Position is an entry level position within the product development technical design team.

Responsibilities:
As such, position will provide assistance as required in support of the tech design department and related projects. This includes completion of tech pack components, exposure to pattern making, preparation of garments for fitting and/or other projects, fit feedback documentation. Candidate should have exposure to and knowledge of garment construction, stitch standards, and basic fabrics and trim items. Candidate should also have knowledge of a basic development calendar. Personal skills required include PC skills (Microsoft Word/Excel) plus PDM software and a design drawing tool such as Illustrator. Additionally, candidate should demonstrate effective communication skills (verbal and written) as well as initiative and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:
BS/BA in apparel/textiles required; preferably in fashion design or related curriculum. Course work related to pattern making, grading, fitting or equivalent experience (i.e., internship) required. Course work related garment construction or equivalent experience (i.e., internship) required.
Course work related to flat sketching required
Pattern making, grading, and fitting experience preferred
