shit, i dont keep up with nfl free agency dates or anything, i wasnt trying to sound like an asshole either, sorry if it came out like that. I see threads like 'Torry Holt to Panthers' or 'Rivers to Jets' and spill drinks and stuff trying to click on em, haha. Plus, I have been hearing this rumor for awhile now, so I didnt know if anything happened to make it closer to a reality. 2/10/2006 3:38:16 PM |

I'm really excited about the chance to get Koren Robinson.
He was going off the last few games of the season, and he'd replace Muhammad very nicely.
If we draft a TE, sign Koren, and add a RB through free agency we are going to be flat out nasty on offense. Im hoping we get Proehl back and Colbert turns things around a little too...
I think we're gonna move Davis to LB and try to find a veteran safety.... I say screw DT, Carstens looked good enough to me to backup Jenkins & Buckner. 2/10/2006 6:00:45 PM |

I'd love to see Proehl return for another year, but I'm almost expecting him to retire this season. If we get a good enough running back coming in, he might stick around for another good chance at a ring. 2/10/2006 6:03:58 PM |

E james all the way. Shaun is good but he plays with half of the best oline in football and in a bad conference. In big games against good teams he was just an avg nfl running back. 2/10/2006 6:36:01 PM |

vs. Jags who have a good D S. Alexander 14 73 E. James 27 128
Vs. Cowboys S. Alexander 21 61
VS. Packers S. Alexander 20 73
Other than these games alexander did well. He played against Arizona, San Fran, and St. Louis 2 times each however. Plus E james would prolly be cheaper since shaun got the MVP and will want a big contract. 2/10/2006 6:56:02 PM |

Edgerrin runs behind some good O-linemen, but having to endure the 30 second audibles Manning is famous for while in a squat position makes it tough for them to be able to fire off the line as well as they should be able to. That has to take a toll over the course of a 60 minute game. 2/10/2006 7:01:57 PM |

RB's are a dime a dozen anyways... IF YOU HAVE A GOOD O-LINE. Denver proves that every year. Granted, Nick Goings might be a stretch, but Foster can handle the load, and Eric Shelton will do just fine as a back-up. We Need a probowl O-line like we had 3 years ago. 2/10/2006 8:52:34 PM |

Yeah, thats his main weakness...
Doesnt matter we just need a 2nd WR that can make big plays and take SOME of the attention off Steve Smith.
He would easily put up ~1,000 yards and if we get a TE worth a crap our passing offense will be unstoppable. 2/10/2006 9:58:09 PM |

Panthers could be backup plan <Feb. 10> While Alexander expects to remain in Seattle, the Panthers may be his second choice, the Charlotte Observer reports. Carolina's coaching staff is coaching him and the NFC squad at the Pro Bowl. League tampering rules forbid the Panthers from talking about possible interest in potential free agents, but Alexander said he's impressed with the Panthers coaches.
"Those guys are awesome," he said. "It's fun and there's a family atmosphere. They keep it close and you can tell why they do good things together.''
Alexander was Seattle's franchise player last season and, according to the terms of his contract, can't be franchised again. If he doesn't sign a new contract with Seattle before March 3, he can become an unrestricted free agent and likely would be the hottest property on the market.
"The most important thing to me is just fair. When everybody is fair, no one holds anything back," Alexander told the Seattle-Post Intelligencer just hours before departing to Honolulu for the Pro Bowl.
"It's one of those things where if you're trying to get a deal, then usually somebody has to sacrifice something. I don't think that we're in the situation where we don't have to be fair. We definitely can do everything correctly where everybody wins."
Alexander led the NFL in rushing this season with 1,880 yards and set a season touchdown record with 28. His 236 rushing yards were the most in the playoffs. 2/11/2006 1:56:43 PM |

eleusis All American 24527 Posts user info edit post |
they can only afford to get about one more pro-bowl quality offensive weapon. they are well under the salary cap right now, but that money goes away quickly when you start getting some of the names being mentioned in here.
For that reason, I think they'd be better off getting another wide receiver to complement Smith. That way we could balance the field and open up the existing running game some more. 2/11/2006 4:54:15 PM |

If we don't end up getting another receiver, I think Drew Carter has some potential. He can get himself open and if he can work on getting better hands I would think he'd be a fine across from Smif. Better than fuckin Keary Colbert anyways. 2/11/2006 5:00:07 PM |

^exactly. our receivers are serviceable, but our RB situation is dire. Furthermore, it's fundamentally sound football to have a balance b/w running and passing. RB before a WR 2/11/2006 5:20:17 PM |

we got to the super bowl with 2 good wide receivers and the same running backs 2 years ago, give or take a broken/overrated Stephen Davis. And Steve Smith wasn't half the all-star then that he was this year. 2/11/2006 7:48:18 PM |
