A recovering alcoholic and recently converted Mormon, Arthur "Killer" Kane, of the rock band The New York Dolls, is given a chance at reuniting with his band after 30 years.
This movie KICKS ASS. It's a really nice documentary about a former rock star who now works as a copy room guy at a Mormon geneology center. Things like this can a lot of times be kind of irritating, but the simple fact is that Arthur Kane is a really nice guy who's had a pretty shitty life since he fell out of the spotlight in the 1970's. I really enjoyed the film.
It's got an 8.5 on IMDB and 89% on RottenTomatoes. See it!
Playing at Galaxy Cinema. Showtimes at 2:15, 4:15, 7:30, and 9:15. Student tickets are $5.50.
