G tech scored 71 points, tunred the ball over and missed some makeable shots. That's nothing we should classify a great game, solid maybe. They nearly scored 80 when we beat them a month ago, why didn't anyone say they played good, if not better than today. Fact is when you win, you played good, and when you lose, it has to be the other team played good, never, can we say that we played bad. Also to the Atsur bashers, if you'll survey 20 legitimate BCS (I know a football term) coaches of weather they would want Atsur or GG in a hypothetical, and you get 5 that say GG, I'd be shocked. GG gives you a lot of what if's, what could be, etc. Atsur is going to give you exactly what you expect which is a high level, and yea like any other player havea couple bad slumps, but not inconsisency over a season.

Engin Atsur may not make every shot he takes but noone is perfect. That does not make him a bad player. He is awesome most often times when it counts and he goes after any loose ball that is near him unlike most players that only go for the ones they think they can get. Basketball is a team sport. We have a team of players that can be good on any given night and can be off on any given night. Just because one day we lose a game don't go off on certain players for their effort or lack of it. If someone is blatantly not playing up to their potential (see Gavin Grant) then you can talk, but had any one of our players played a little bit harder today we could have won. I mean Cedric Simmons might as well have not even been in this game and he is one of our key players, not to mention we had way to many turnovers.

^, ^^^, He is a good player, possibly our most-consistent player until the last 5 minutes of each game. He is not clutch at all. His shot selection is terrible at the end of games.

I think everyone knows its not Grants fault, his retardedness was just the icing on the cake for a fucking terrible game...and that was the easiest thing to bitch about when the game ended. I want to hear what Herb has to say about this game though. It was pathetic.


P.S. My dad called me about an hour after the game to see who won. When I asked "why, didnt you watch it", he replied "Yeah but I turned it off with about 10 minutes to go cause I was tired of watching them turn it over on every posession"

I didnt see anyone mention his assist to TO ratio actually. What they said was it was a pretty solid performance. 15 pts, 5 reb, 5 ast, and 3 steals is pretty damn good. The whole team turned the ball over 19 times so his 4 don't look all that bad, not a bad performance if you ask me

Are you kidding me, for a primary ball handler, that isn't a bad stat, especially considering we are normally really good at not turning it over (What, 12 a game?) 20% of 12 is less than 3/game. Not bad for a point gaurd that handles the ball on roughly 60-70 possesions a game.

Someone else finally gets it. I like Engin. I want him to play 35 minutes. The last 5 need to go to someone else. For what its worth, it seems to me that Gavin was pretty damn clutch against Miami hitting all 6 free throws near the end. Gavin is averaging like 5 rebounds a game and doesn't even play half of the games. Bennerman is the only true clutch player we have, he has stepped up big time in multiple games this year.
