i "let my clutch slip" at the light on western on the way home from work today.
of course with the rain and bumps in the intersection...there was some wheel spin followed by a quick accel to 45 at which point i look up and see a cop directly behind me.....thought for sure he would pulled me....but he just followed me most of the way to my appartment and then turned off

but yeah speeding in a work zone is just wrong....it's one of the few places i do slow down, that and 35mph zones for some reason i don't like to speed their either

How the fuck is saving 5 minutes any better? And there is NO FUCKING WAY you save 5 minutes in travel time by speeding on the BELTLINE for a couple of miles. And sure they can be going 65 in a 60 in the passing lane, IF THEY ARE PASSING SOMEONE.

There already is a keep-right ordinance in place now, it became effective the beginning of this year. Just isn't being ardently enforced yet.

I garauntee I have driven more highway miles in the past three years that most of you have in your entire lives to date. The difference between driving 70-75 in a 65 and driving 85+mph in a 65 is almost nothing on a long trip (400-500+ miles). And in a short trip, aka less than 200 miles, you are only saving a few minutes MAX. Its just not worth it in any way.

The time saved by speeding is not all factored in by the speed increase. Its also about making it through stop lights before they change. On a road like capital you can cut out 4-5 stop lights if you just haul some ass to get through them.

I noticed this when I visited NYC people do the most amazing thing when lights turn green. ACCELERATE.

extra 20mph is like 20 extra mins the slower driver is on the road in an hour....for a 15 min trip(if i were to drive the speed limit to work it would take 20 mins) that is 5 mins......that's 5 mins less is i am wasing my life sitting in my car and 5 more mins i am wasting my life getting paid for it....that's about a half hour a week which adds up to more than the cost of gas for me to go faster.....that enough justification for you?

most hwy speed limits are so out dated with todays cars capabilities....i mean according to what the rest of you are say we should all have our cars speed governed at 65 or 70.....why don't we just try to make our society's transportation as inefficient as possible
