Somewhat reminds me of the 1970s Oakland Raider fanbase.

We're dirty, shout lewd things, throw shit, always bitch about our team not getting the respect it deserves, complain that the teams down the road steal our publicity, always bitch when something doesn't go our way, there's always some stupid controversy, we're unorganized and mean, relentless, other fanbases hate us, and we're generally just not well-behaved.

As of recent I've admired these traits. I've never wanted anything else and I've never expected anything else. In fact, I wish there was a way to make us worse and more hardcore; I wish there was a way to improve these "strongpoints." I don't understand why people would want to pride themselves with being "respectable fans" in fact. The way I see it is that our job as fans is to come into the seats and make the other teams not want to play there. Our job is to distract those bastards with whatever ammunition we can throw at them.

I feel a day late and a dollar short on this, as it was somewhat more topical with the whole Chris Paul incident last year. But anyway, that's my opinion and personally I won't see anything wrong with people starting major shit tonight.

The way I see it is that Sports don't really mean shit in the long run. Especially college sports, since you pretty much have to root for your team. It's pretty irrational.

So if I choose to be irrational and scream "FUCK YOU" to an 83 year old Chapel Hill fan tonight, it goes along with the territory. And I love it.

I agree with this. I am embarassed about the Chris Paul incident last year...the thing about his grandfather, but anything short of that is fine by me.

What people dont realize is that we have no respect in the first place. If some shit happens at State, it probably happened somewhere else a hundred times, but since we're known for it, we're gonna get the publicity. We're never gonna get away from it because of a few idiots. My theory....if you cant beat 'em, Join 'em. Fuck David Noel, and his pussy ass team mates.
