you won't find many coach's out there who could come in and beat roy williams and coach k. that's the difficulty of coaching nc state basketball. bobby knight would possibly be on that "level" but i just don't think there are any options better than sendek out there for this. herb has done a pretty good job with our program from an overall viewpoint, and we get better each year. if he was to leave, a coach would have to come in here and take a few years to get his "system" in order and to be competitive. we are a solid top 20 program right now, it's not that bad. but we will just be in the shadow of Duke and UNC until we can win that big one again.

my two picks would be:
bobby knight and bill cowher


but sendek and amato are fine with me.

i also wouldn't mind seeing Archie promoted iin a few years, I still think he is to young, but he's gonna be a good one. Sean Miller wouldn't be bad either, but if we were to take one of the brothers, it would definitely have to be Archie.
