For the last 4 weeks i have been listening to nonstop doom/drone/stoner metal. Damn i love it. Non-stop Pelican, Warhorse, 5ive, Jesu, Mare, Electric Wizard, Acid King, Kyuss, God Flesh, Isis, Old Man Gloom, Keelhaul, Khanate, Cult Of Luna, and Knut.

Any others that any of you like?

Lately ive swamped myself in these Genres and am fucking loving it.

I have been listening to Isis and Cult of Luna all week. So melodic and layered, yet so heavy and epic.

Definitely check out NC's own Giant.

ive seen Cult of Luna and Isis live and i gotta say they didnt do much for me. the riffs were just lame and repeated till i had a headache.

khanate and Jesu are pretty cool tho.

Yeah Giant's awsome. I'm friends with some of the dudes in that band, so check out the link posted and give some support.

If you dig those bands then you should definitely check out some fuckin Neurosis.

Also, Red Sparowes and Grails are excellent.

You might like some Godspeed! You Black Emporer aswell (their one of my absolute favorite bands)

and check out burning witch. i don't mean to be a southern lord whore, but some of their stuff is incredible. the towers 12" on slap-a-ham is one of my favorite doom albums ever.

also, don't forget pentagram. they're more bluesy in that sabbath way than doom or drone, but still totally killer.
