no actually....they obviously aren't "bubble teams" so it's not like they were the last two left out......is this a conference championship, or do these slots have to go to like small cap schools or what?

All I know is we just got a shout out (Herb & Atsur) from the commentators of the opening game

saying that Herb recruits well overseas and Euro players shoot well from outside...

why doesn't the top overall #1 seed get to play the winner of the play-in game?

The play in game winner gets a fri-sunday region. Duke is this year's top team and is playing on a thurs-sat region.

Here's what I don't get - the play-in game should be against the #1 overall seed. I realize Duke is playing at a Thurs-Sat site, so they don't get the play-in winner. But since UConn and Villanova are playing at the same site (Fri-Sun), why isn't UConn playing the play-in winner instead of Villanova? UConn is the #2 overall seed in the tournament, Villanova is the #3 overall seed.
