i am sick of having roomates

i have been sued by two of my previous landlords, i got fucked with some electric bills once, and i dont trust anybody anymore

anybody know of some one bedroom appartments?

so far i am looking at the Park in crossroads

Cameron Court is ~600, Grosvenor Gardens (two doors down on Hillsborough) has good-sized studios for about the same amount, I pay $495 where I'm at (Cameron Village Condos II) but your mileage may vary as they're not centrally managed.

I think it was 499 at Laurel Oaks.... I lived there my senior year. Nice apartment with gas appliances and a fireplace. Really nice size for one person.

I don't remember the price for the sumter square 1 bedroom, and I don't think its on their website any more... but I seem to remember looking into it at one point and not thinking it was outrageous or anything. Even if it was a little high, this place has water and unlimited wireless internet built into rent.

I like the idea of a patio, living room, and kitchen all in a row… those kind of rooms have less walls, so putting them in a row creates a bigger feel to the place. I think I’m going to get something like that when I next move. I’ve got a townhouse apartment now, but I’ll be moving to an area where everything is more expensive.

pine knoll (on avent ferry across from ivy commons) is cheap. it was something like $395 a month when i lived there 2 years ago...i dont know what it is now.

if you've been sued twice though, you may have a hard time getting another lease in your name.

Sylvan Park is kind of ghetto but it's $475 for a 750 sq ft one bedroom apartment.

kensington park, $486, 1 bedroom= just under 900 sq ft. water and wireless included in price
also, nice pool, clubhouse and gym and its on the wolfline

Ivy Commons is good for people looking for something that isn't composed of student apartments. Mostly grad students and nice quiet people there. Just make sure you get something a little bit on the avent ferry side of the complex as the mexicans in the complex next door like to have outdoor parties every Sunday. Still, it's a nice safe neighborhood and I'd consider living there if I was ever to consider moving again (before I get a house).

i dunno how much this will help, but when i had a 1 bedroom apt in what was then Crabtree Valley Apts (it's now the Atria or something like that i think), it was 870 square feet and $500something a month. they had/have 3 different sized 1 bedroom apts and mine was the medium sized one. i had a bedroom, big walk in closet, bathroom, kitchen, laundry/utility room, dining room, living room, sunroom, and small deck w/ storage room. they were also very pet friendly. i really liked living there, esp being on the 3rd floor facing the greenway.

apparently the prices have gone up some. no surprise there. looks like they also did some renovating.

Axelay used to live in the complex too, and may still...


pooljobs, you might want to look into these apartments. i lived there while in school at state and worked out at a dog kennel off page rd ext just past briar creek. it's a pretty good location i think. i moved out there because i had absolutely NO desire to live near a bunch of college students (although i was one at the time).

1000 sq ft 2 floor townhouse - $525 a month (may be a little higher now)

University Apartments, just south of centennial campus on Avent Ferry

Old buildings kinda, but the people here are great, and its just a nice, inexpensive place to live

No pets, do have a pool and a bball court, but not much else
