All of the poli sci professors at NC State are top-fucking-notch. Most of them well overqualified, to be frank. It's the students that are idiots for the most part. The program itself is fine.

noone ever said anything about the program. Truth is Pavlik is a dick, I know from experience. He is a total dickhead. The, by far, worst of all the poly sci professors at the damn school. In due time you'll see, trust me.

I've never had Pavlik, and, from the looks of it, I never well; however, he is my advisor, and I've seen no reason to question his competence or ability.

All I see in this thread is a few people mildly criticizing the department in which GrumpyGOP is soon to graduate.

And then GOP is like, "No, guys, it's a good program. You're making it look bad. "

GOP, no department is perfect. Your attempt at defending it across the board seems selfishly motivated because you have an interest in getting a degree from a department where the professors are perceived as, in your words, "top-fucking-notch" and "overqualified."

I'm not sure why you even tried to start an argument here.

I'm sorry it comes off that way, and I don't suppose I have any means of convincing you that I am sincere, so you'll just have to trust me: excluding the people in charge of the 100 level internet courses, literally every instructor I have had in political science has been an intelligent, knowledgeable individuals, many of whom, given their resumes, seemed overqualified to be teaching low-level courses at a State university known for things other than its Humanities program.

I'm not going to make people suddenly think NCSU has a great program by bitching on this board. When all is said and done, I'm always going to have to show a little bit more talent because people will look at me and see a poli sci major from a school where poli sci is perceived to be a joke.

I really don't have any other motivation here except to tell the truth.

Come to think of it, I haven't had more than a handful of bad instructors since I've been here, which is good for several reasons; not the least of those is that I never claimed Poli Sci was one of the best majors at State, simply that it was a solidly good one.

I agree with many here that Pavlik is a bit of a dick, regardless of his intelligence or credentials. Moog, however, is not. He is very clear in his expectations and so long as you do the work, his is cool.
