Not sure exactly where this would go category wise - I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could get some sheets of plexiglass or a similar material for a case I've been doodling up. I've read I can get by without needing any particular tools for cutting till I get past 3/16" thick. The detail I'm lacking here is if that thickness will actually support anything at all.
So if anyone has any experience working with this junk and/or knows where I can get some for a reasonable price, let me know, please. 3/22/2006 1:01:54 PM |

home depot, son
it's not too expensive, but the thinner you get it, the cheaper 3/22/2006 5:10:55 PM |

what are you planning to cut it with?
Because to get good cuts you are going to need a circular saw or table saw. Home Depot / Lowes you can get a sheet of 5mm (~1/4in) which is about as thin as you want to go to not flop around, for I think 50 ish bucks for a 3x4 sheet. 3/22/2006 5:39:49 PM |

^^ahh, thanks. I've apparently missed them when I was there before (of course, I wasn't looking for this stuff before, so that figures).
^Probably a circular saw. I'll have to rig up something as a cutting board, but I'll manage.
Thanks for the help! /thread. 3/22/2006 9:52:17 PM |
