I love Griffey. I really do. But why pick some one that will not play half of his team's games?

This kid could be GREAT. I watched him pitch for the Pirates when they played the Cardinals and he was stellar.

That's because he IS playing 3B this year...

Definitely without a doubt use Heilman over Looper.. he'll either be a starter or setup. If Holds are counted in your league he should get tons of them..

Griffey was a bit of a flier I'll admit, but it is POSSIBLE he could make it through the year, and if he does, he'll put up number twice as good as the alternatives I had at that round (Burrell, Floyd, etc)

Duke and Patterson I probably took a BIT too early, but I loved what they did last year and I don't think they were flukes at all.

I know Cabrera is playing 3B this year, but in some leagues you have to wait until they have played so many games first, so I was just calarifying...

I'll most likely be playing Heilman over Looper. I know this sounds dumb but I really think Kenny Rogers might end up with some great numbers this year. Yes he's an asshole, yes he's old as dirt, and yes he finished poorly last year. BUT, he did put up some pretty decent numbers in the 2nd best hitter's park last year...along this same line of thinking I wanted to pick up Chris Young but he got snagged...

I think your OF is a little weak, but your IF is excellent. Having strong players at 2B and SS is more important than having stud OFs because the drop off from the best middle IFs to the crappy players is much steeper with middle IFs than with OFs.

Shit. Lineup the Yankees hitters and the A's pitching and you have your season right there.

Wait a minute...you took Griffey over Pat Burrell???

What are you thinking?

Cliff Floyd is just as dependable as Griffey.

Pitching is kinda weak. I would offer up Dontrelle in a trade for a better pitcher. look for Shawn chicon of the Yankees good pitcher who was low ranked because of limited games. I would trade dontrelle and try to get carpenter, or even randy johnson. I would also try to trade wakefield he always has a high ERA which will hurt you. Honestly look for JD Drew in Outfield also Franceur of the Braves he was averageing close to a HR per 8 at bats. trading off some of your hitters for pitching would help you out. You will win the offensive category's but lose in the pitching.
