i'm sort of between opinions of all this

on the one hand, rich powerful people make some weird requests

on the other hand, if someone asked me what I wanted in my hotel rooms - anything I want - and I could get it no matter what, I'm sure my list would be funny, too.

Asking for the TV's to be set to a certain channel is totally normal. He probably wanted to get the news and didn't want to flip the channels for 4 minutes before finding it.....plus fox is the best news channel

The lights must be on because he's afraid to walk into a darkened room. (The threat of assasination is very real when you're a powerful asshole.) I often have a little trouble finding light switches in hotel rooms myself.

I think the lights thing can be chalked up to him being old and in poor health. Bumping into a chair in the dark might make him fall and break something.

That and he's a reverse vampire.
