I have the dell 19" DVI model and I would buy another.

Got it off of a http://www.slickdeals.net promo.

They pop up every so often

well i'm really only interested in the 1907 model which since it's a 'new' model, i doubt it's going on sale anytime soon.

i have the 20" dell 2001fp and really like it

i also picked up a 19" viewsonic va902b for $160 (pending rebates) last week and it's just as good as the dell and i prefer it for gaming

my roommate and I both have samsung LCD's, I have the 930, my roommate has the 940B (well, two of 'em). They're good LCD's - we both like ours.

I've heard nothing but good things about dell LCD's also (would NEVER buy a computer from them, at least not a laptop)

well i'm looking for an 19" lcd w/ dvi <=$300

as much as i'd like to get the samsung 940B ($350), i can't rationalize it when i can get the dell 1907fp for $320 shipped.

I picked up 2 HannsG brand from tiger direct a couple months ago. $200 each after the rebate. Brightness comparable to all the other ones, good contrast ratio, 8ms response (the only number I remember off hand).

The screen casing is probably enough to turn you off as its downright ugly, but so far I haven't had any trouble out of it even though it isn't a name brand.

only thing i would worry about is
Quote :
"
Q: Does it come with a warranty???
A: It does come with one year warranty from us. Thanks!"

But you are saving 15% as long as its factory sealed you shouldnt have any problems.

I really don't care to read about how many fps of whatever the hottest game is right now it will handle and the other ridiculous gamer fanboy digital masturbation that's typically described in such reviews.

But I definitely forgot that TWW consists solely of gamer nerds who only care about that crap.

so wait, are you really THAT upset because I had to audacity to send the moderator of tech talk to google? I assumed you had already checked google, but in case not i posted the link.

i'm guessing you hadn't seen those reviews yet, because if you had you would simply have said "yeah, saw those" instead of getting your panties in a wad. Theres a ton of information on that exact monitor in the google results that don't have anything to do with gaming.

and you just called yourself a gamer nerd, gg.

FYI: I just bought the 1907FPt and got the Samsung panel

It's the Samsung LTM190EX Panel, 8-bit.
http://www.samsung.com/Products/TFTLCD/Monitors_n_Industrial/LTM190EX/LTM190EX.htm

I read everywhere that these are 6-bit AUO panels, but all the people that stated they were 6-bit only stated the poor viewing angles as a good assumption it was 6-bit, I can assure you it's 700:1 or higher panel and it's the Samsung panel with 16.7M colors and as far as I can tell 170' viewing angle not the 140' Dell put on their website. DP/N: 0DC323 is the part number from this monitor I bought from Dell, the one I received on ebay is DP/N: 0CC299 and may possibly be the AUO panel, so I'm reselling it now.
