so i have a telephoto lens, a 28-200 zoom lens, a 2x converter and a flash that i want to sell off. They all work - i took them to a camera shop back home and they tested them. I dont know much about them. One of them is a Vivitar lens. My mother found them at a yardsale and bought them for me but they dont fit my rebel 2000.

Pictures are in my gallery.

Send me some offers

oh and i also have a basically full bottle of Obsession Night cologne by CK that i dont want anymore....i forgot i even had it and i have a bottle of Extreme Polo Sport same deal....

makes some offers

I'm pretty sure those are canon FD mounts.
Canon's FD mounts: AE-1, AE-1 Program, A1, AT-1, AV-1, AL-1, F-1, New F-1, FTbN, T-50, T-60, T-70, T-80, and T-90

Where do you stay? I'd like to come look at the 28-200

1) thanks to skokiaan for the stereotypical Tdub asshole remark - no thread is complete without it

2) ambrosia1231 - i have one person looking at everything this evening, but if they dont end up buying the set i coudl swing by afterwards so you could look at the 85-200

3) ronny - sorry, i actually work at my job so i can't check Tdub every 5 minutes...i've replied to the pm and i can provide more info tonite

for those who don't know, that flash looks generic (non dedicated) so it could probably work on any camera.

there still should probably be a clarification of what type of mounts they are.

because vivitar makes lenses for all of the companies and there is no difference in them until you actually see what the mount looks like.

I can tell you that the flash will work a canon AE-1
and the only difference between and my 70-210 is that my dot is red (yes, a vivitar)

so i'm guessing that person who originally owned these was probably using a canon, and since he said they don't fit his rebel (an EF mount), I think they're a canon FD. that might just be the optimist in me, though
If he hasn't sold the stuff yet, and I go by and look, i'll know for sure.

and what i'm saying is that ALL VIVITAR LENSES LOOK ALIKE ACROSS COMPANIES!

then again i did forget about the whole rotating mount thing that those canons do...

but its still not on the other one is it? i thought those actually needed that kind of mount... btw why did canon do that anyway, dear gosh it just makes things more complicated.
