Yo folks, Anyone build PCs for resale? I need to get a couple but have the potential to sell more than just "a few" - just in case.
It'd also be nice if it was someone local I could work with...
Any suggestions?

Are you talking about gaming pc's or just regular home/office pc's? 4/4/2006 9:42:52 AM |

Just regular; warranties, etc. are good as well... 4/4/2006 9:58:24 AM |

he does warranty them.
If this is for a business, go with dell. Save yourself a ton of wasted time and warranty headaches. 4/4/2006 10:58:57 AM |

Yeah, I'd go with a company like dell, IBM, or hp for a buisness... The tools and support they offer are much better than what most small time places can do. 4/4/2006 11:23:51 AM |

^ Yea, I've had a Solutions Direct Provider account with them for years now, but you get better deals from slickdeals, kinda sucks 4/4/2006 12:40:56 PM |

yeah the best slickdeals beat the best dell reseller deals but the reseller deal is consistently good and sometimes great 4/4/2006 1:17:10 PM |

Slickdeals is good....BUT..I'd need something consistent. Just in case I do indeed get a few customers. Besides all that, I need to be able to advertise something consistent...even if I never sell them.

well even with a reseller account, prices fluctuate weekly if not daily. Telling someone you can give them x computers for y price is only going to be valid for a week or two at the most with any decent company.
And any company is going to realize this is the case, so don't worry too much about having a consistent price structure. 4/4/2006 1:30:51 PM |

Understood; I wouldn't expect to have the lowest prices the way I'm going about it anyway, so there will be some room for modification. 4/4/2006 1:37:32 PM |
