It's funny how no one sais a fucking thing when Lance BLOOD DOPINGArmstrong get away with his shit consistently. He's using every trick in the cot damn book!!!! but yet, he is hailed like fucking Adolf Hitler in pre war Germany.
All he got was a lil speculation, and bygons were bygons. I wish I went to tour de france, I would have been the fan to come out of the woods, cloaked in nothing but a French Flag, to russian cycle his gay, blood doping ass off that bike.

Steriods is not an MLB issue, its not a Bonds issue, its a sports issue. The media is placing all the burdens of illegal drug usage on this man. Its not fair. I want more investigation of more athletes period. Every one is on his back, with no factual evidence only heresay. 4/5/2006 12:50:10 AM |

Which bring another point to mind. Lets just put the world of sports under a magnifying glass as a whole. Wayne Gretzky and his money hungry bitch of a wife = media silence. Oh, and Hockey players juice up also!!!
I don't see anyone creating articles on all the illegal shit going on in that sport Gee, I wonder why? It just seems that when it come to the "Golden Boys" of the game, no one jumps on their case. But when Bonds is about to pwnt baseballs most prestigious record, oh god, he's a cheater folks!!
Lets hate him b/c of his personality and he's a meanie. Shame on you Bonds.

no baseball is not just a game. it's America's fucking pastime for Christ's sake. people are getting mad b/c it's something that was once universally pure among us, and now in the early 90's onward there have been a ton of douchebags desanctifying it, and people are getting pissed off about it. this is a game that nearly everyone played at one point or another. tell me why the number of 50 HR seasons per player from the 90's onward has eclipsed that of the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s combined? it isn't because of improvements on equipment, or training. that wouldn't warrant such a huge jump. a bat is a bat, and a ball is a ball in the game of baseball. if anything the pitchers have gotten better. he was involved in the BALCO scandal, and that's what adds more fuel to the fire. the bottom line is why should we even be trying to use unnatural methods to beef up our bodies. why can't athletes just go out, work hard, eat right, and exercise enough to not have to shortcut their way to having a stronger body?4/5/2006 1:46:24 AM |

^^Bullshit, baseball has never been "pure"
Aside from obvious scapegoats like the 1919 sox and pete rose (who were not the only ones to ever bet on baseball), the game, even at the professional level, has been full of incidences of players doing anything they can do to get ahead - hitters corking bats, pitchers scuffing balls, baserunners stealing signs - in baseball, if you're not cheating, you're not trying. 4/5/2006 1:59:06 AM |

let's get two things clear
1. Armstrong is a doper. Cycling is notorious for only finding out about cyclers doping after they die, or get caught by the police with illegal substances
2. Bonds is a doper.
In both situations, both individuals have strong ties to individuals who are neck deep in drugs and doping.
p.s. Armstrong is not a blood doper. That is too easily caught.

One thing leads to another. If your're gonna patronize the man, fine, but throwing shit is just taking it too far.
But of fucking cry babies. There's no cryin in baseball. He will pwnt that record, and I can't wait to that day. Im not even a fan of the guy, im all for the principle. I don't agree with the throwing of the syringe at Bonds, but I have no problem with fans showing their displeasure with him through other means, i.e. signs, booing, etc. Yes professional baseball has had some notorious cheaters in its history, but so have plenty of other sports out there. but then again baseball is one of the older sports in America, allowing for more discoveries of how to get an edge. This doesn't make cheating right though. also i agree with puck_it's statement about scoring goals in hockey is more about finesse than power. yes a quick and powerful shot will aid you to a degree, albeit in not much, but in hockey it's mainly about placement of the puck. this coming from a guy that has played ice hockey since he was 4 years old. i still don't understand why so many players go for the glove side though. why not the blocker side. it's way harder for the goalie to move as quick, plus it is more unexpected since he has gotten so much practice with the glove side anyways. maybe they think they're being flashy, i don't know. a mystery that we'll never know the true answer to. 4/5/2006 3:32:44 AM |

if you look at his numbers its obvious that he was taking steroids after the 99 season...his hr's jumped 15 in one year then 24 the next. im not saying other people dont do it too but im saying he should own up to it. jason giambi did and nobody bitches about him anymore and he had a decent year last year (.271, 32hr, 87 rbi). nobody made a big deal about sammy and mcguire because they were "saving" baseball when they did it. my point is they should put an asterik by anyones name who breaks records saying they were on steroids. i dont like bonds personally because he wont come clean and face the issue...hes a hell of a ball player and wouldve made a serious run at these records if he hadnt juiced up. 4/5/2006 8:23:03 AM |

The whole "he's just a really good hitter and now he's bigger and can hit homeruns because he worked out" does not work anymore. If memory serves me correct (and I'm pretty sure it does) Bonds admitted to using the cream and the clear while under oath, he just didn't know about it (which any semi-intelligent individual knows is a bullshit claim).
So at the absolute BEST, we know for a fact that Bonds has used steroids, just didn't "realize" what he was doing...bottom line 4/5/2006 9:01:04 AM |

a test for synthetic EPO has been developed in the last year, and all of Lance's previous samples tested positive under the new test. However, Olympic guidelines for testing prevent testing record samples a second time, so it would be illegal to accuse Lance Armstrong of blood doping.
But I think that's besides the point. The man had testicular cancer, which means he's on hormone replacement therapy for life. Steroids increase red blood cell count on their own, so even without taking EPO or additional blood - he's still blood doping.4/5/2006 4:42:06 PM |

actually, blood doping in the form of adding your own stored plasma back into your body is almost impossible to check for. Athletes normally have higher red blood cell counts than other people, so it's hard to set standards for it. sythetic blood doping has been undetectable until the last year.4/5/2006 4:45:10 PM |
