Barton is Division 2 though while Campbell is D. 1 AND has a law school (for deep pocket alumni)


Plus, Barton is in the middle of the Wilson ghetto (kinda like a mini-Duke without the skreet cred)

and their CC teams practice at the Fike High school track.

But still.....they could turn that soccer field into a home football field at the sports complex. It isn't like the soccer team is all that great anyway.....WHO NEEDS SOCCER WHEN YA GOT FOOSBALL!!!

Barton College used to be Atlantic Christian College.


They played football as ......................The Christians

but they actually played NCSU, ECU and UNC it think but that was also back in the day when State dominated the likes of the Fayetteville YMCA and played the 82nd Airborne Division.

Barton would be Division 2 powerhouse if they got a team. You have so many high schools in the area with good reputations in football (Hunt, Beddingfield, Fike) and with players who are good but not good enough for Div. 1 football.

So Louisburg College has over 100 players on their roster. I predict their program will go under within 2 seasons.

Barton College on the other hand has the money, local support, local talent and general location to make something out of a football program.
