Amedeo's has a small back room that can be used for private events. It's very small, but should be fine for 12 people...

^it can be. You also have options other than University Dining when's your event? Have you scheduled it yet? Even if you have, if it's a bit out, you can probably ask whoever youre dealing with to help arrange catering. yeah if you want to go somewhere as far (depends on your definition of close driving distance), cameron village may have some options. what kind of atmosphere are you looking for? i know professional, but there are different ranges of that.
