if you are going to make statements, then make sure you get your shit right. Detroit went to the playoffs again in 1987, and was on average the best team in the division in the '80s.

Again, with recent failure, it is easy to overlook this. I can see a Yankees fan or an Angels fan or even a Red Sox fan giving me shit about this.

Yes, Detroit went to the playoffs once since 1984 (then promptly dropping the series 4-1). They also lost 119 games THREE YEARS AGO. I also can easily imagine they were, "on average", one of the worst teams in the '90s, if not the last ten years. The only reason I'm talking shit as a White Sox fan is because I know that, while the Sox hadn't won much titles in the the last 15 years or so, at least the Sox posted winning records and won their division (twice: 1993, 2000). Detroit fans like you are still clinging to 1987.
