I didn't see one and I did a search for 5 key words and nothing came up..
Here we go:
AL East: Yankees AL Central: Indians AL West: Oakland Wild Card: Red Sox (1-2 games over the ChiSox)
ALCS: Yankees vs Oakland --> Oakland wins
Cy Young: Rich Harden MVP: ARod ROY: Jon Papelbon (i know he meets the IP req. but I'm not sure about the service time?) Ummmm, I'll get back to ya on this one.
NL East: Metropolitans NL Central: Cards NL West: Dodgers Wild Card: Brewers (you heard it here 3rd)
NLCS: Mets-Cards --> Cards win
Cy Young: Dontrelle Willis MVP: Pujols (David Wright 2nd) ROY: Jeremy Hermida
World Series: Cards in 6 (great series though)

Oakland isnt going anywhere with their offense.
The Red Sox look like the best team in the league so far, because schilling is throwing well again, and Beckett has been nasty
The Dodgers will not win their division.
The AL Wild card is coming out of the central, dont let the Sox slow start fool you..they are nasty, and Vasquez is pitching well again. The Indians will be tough, and probably would have won the series last year if they made it to the playoffs.
As much as I love the Yankees, I dont know if they will be able to take the Red Sox this year, but only time will tell.

I think the Cubs have a good shot at the wildcard if they can get some decent starts out of Marshall. The Brewers will be this year's Baltimore Orioles. 4/10/2006 12:44:35 PM |

I don't understand why so many people think the Red Sox are going to be so great this year.
1) Their rotation is definitely bolstered by Beckett, and a healthy Schilling, but losing Arroyo hurts, and Wakefield is going to have some real troubles without Mirabelli catching his knuckler.
2) Their lineup has definitely taken a hit. 1B: Youkilis - The "Greek God of Walks" doesn't play the kind of baseball the Red Sox need. He will walk and get on base, but he has very little pop. He's a great CHEAP option at 1st base, but will provide nowhere near the average 1B power. 2B: Loretta - This guy WAS good, now he's really just average, but with very little speed for a second baseman. SS: Alex Gonzalez - definitely a huge downgrade from their past (Nomar, Cabrera, Renteria) 3B: Lowell - we all know his story, used to be great, terrible last year, MAYBE he can turn it around for an average year this time around. LF: Manny - same as before CF: Crisp - younger and faster than Damon, not as high an average, pretty much a wash, maybe a BIT better, but we don't have any idea if he's clutch, which Damon is, and thats not something you can predict (look at Arod) RF: Nixon / Pena - Nixon is obviously the same, Pena has pop but a terrible average 4/10/2006 2:50:19 PM |

Worst fan ever.
Honestly though, you can't realistically make predictions this early in the year. Part of baseball is the "wear" and how a team responds to it. 4/10/2006 10:41:44 PM |

Um okay... here's my six division winners.
Unlikely to get all 6. Chance to get 5/6 50/50 to pick 4/6 Very confident I can get 3 right. 2 is guaranteed.
AL East - Yankees (3 games back right now, so i dont wanna hear that i did this after the season started)
AL Central - Indians (fast start meaningless, woulda been my pick preseason love the balance)
AL West - Athletics (biased because I'm the biggest A's fan in the world)
NL East - Mets (hate the Braves and they are due)
NL Cental - Cards (I've got $720 riding on them to win the div, so this is the one I really care about)
NL West - Dodgers (This one is a bit of a crapshoot b/c both LA and SF are injury prone)
