Athens is cool. typical college town...they have a street there not too different from Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. it's also pretty near atlanta. historically has been a good music scene.

The "Franklin Street" area has good music and goes on in several blocks in multiple directions.


It has the pluses and minuses of being the college town for UGA.

you can't recommend a certain bar in athens

because there are literally 100 bars in a six block radius, and even if you tell someone where to go, they'll see someplace else they want to go before they get there
