interesting coincidence. some people in the quad were doing that, coming into the cstore and buying mentos and coke. so my coworker and i hadn't heard of what happens, although she had the correct guess, and we tried it on a minature scale with one of those 12 oz bottles. only took like 3 mentos to get that going, but since it was such a small amount of coke it didn't shoot up like the larger versions.
