btw, that Blitz amp HITS HARD. I have it turned down to 25%, and STILL have to keep my bass on -4 on my headunit. It's NASTY. 4/19/2006 10:55:53 AM |

Those VR's can't possibly hit that hard, but I have to give an UP to a Kicker owner. For the money, these are the sickest subs out! I got a single L5 in a 3 cu. ft. ported box(custom fabricated by myself ) w/800 watts and it turns heads everywhere I go! IT'S A BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF SOUND ENGINEERING! 4/19/2006 11:38:22 AM |

I was surprised as how hard these 12's hit. I mean, they're not top of the line, but i SERIOUSLY have to keep my bass on -4 and the amp at 25% to keep it at a constant comfortable listening level. 4/19/2006 11:43:53 AM |

If you have your bass knob on -4, why not just turn the gain down even more and set it at zero. That way your response is flat. That is what the gain knob is for, I shouldn't have to tell you this.
Edit:
Ok, after reading the specs on this Blitz amp, I am highly disappointed in you. I know (or at least thought) you know car audio, so why are you quoting the max specs of the amp in this thread?
The users manual lists it as 75x2 @ 14.4V into 4 ohm and 110x2 @ 14.4V into 2 ohms, bridged puts it at less than 250w @ 14.4V. If we then consider that 14.4V ratings are hog wash then more realistic ratings are probably 65-70wx2 4 ohms and ~100wx2 at 2 ohms, and in the 200-225 range bridged into 4.
This is not a very good amp.

I didnt read the specs. I copied and pasted and rolled with it. Sorry
I dont give a shit what the specs say though, this amp hits pretty damn hard for what it is. 4/19/2006 4:12:33 PM |
