Coming to a rap video near you: 30-inch rims
Quote : | "Forget dubs. Pirelli just announced the world’s first production 30-inch tire, opening the door to mass-market 30-inch rims. While other tire manufacturers may have shown “one-off” 30-inch tire projects, Pirelli’s 315/30R30 Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico is described as an SUV tire and is headed for full production. “The 30-inch Scorpion Zero is not about selling huge volumes; it’s more about satisfying a highly visible niche opportunity and making a statement in the market place,” a company spokesperson said. “Our past initiatives in this product area have driven huge interest in plus-sizing on light trucks, to a point where 22-inch tires can almost be considered the norm.” TIS Wheels (”Twenty Inches Strong”) used the press conference to introduce a thirty-inch wheel called Thirty Inches Strong. The company confirmed that the first set valued at $150,000 in development costs, had been sold to MTV Celebrity Bam Margera for his Hummer. " |

Forget the spinners: pimp rims go high-tech
Quote : | "In the last few days you may have read about some high-tech rims called Pimpstar. They’re available from CustomWheel and they’re unlike any rims we’ve seen before. Using built-in color LED lights, they can display any digital image on the wheels. " |

it isnt like the other 30s were hand carved from a solid block of rubber. the exact same production methods are used regardless of the desired output quantities.4/25/2006 10:19:35 AM |

like every trend, it keeps going until it hits rediculous proportions and then people switch to something else. Think of uber-baggy jeans. 4/25/2006 2:23:05 PM |
