There's a soccer field in Durham that's like that. I came home with a million of those rubber pellets in my shoes. It was nice to play on though. Looks pretty sweet too.

there is a high school, Northview, in Duluth, GA that has field turf and a 20' x 20' scoreboard with instant replay jumbotron

talk about one helluva booster program

btw- field turf is awesome to play on

I think this is a good thing. Wake notoriously has the worst playing conditions in the ACC. Visiting teams have routinely complained about poor footing and heightened chance of lower body injury (knee or ankle).

The field turf will actually be an upgrade, now if they can just get real crowd noise

ive played soccer on high quality field turf, and like i said, if the grass isnt maintained properly, then field turf is an option. another option is hiring someone who isnt a dipshit to manage grounds.

there was just an article today about a high school in Nashville, TN having a donor give the money to get the field turf...although they do use it for lacrosse and track field events and other things besides using it for their usually nationally ranked football team. still seems a little over the top for high schools
